Celebrate Success 2010-11
Nominations for Celebrate Success 2010 – 2011
are now open.
Have you been
inspired by a young person who has dramatically changed their life
or a group of young people who have transformed their local
community?
Then why not nominate them for this
year’s Celebrate Success Awards?
Celebrate Success is The Prince’s Trust recognition awards,
celebrating young people who have changed their lives and those who
have played a part in supporting the work of The Trust.
A series of awards recognise young people’s success in the areas
of education, skills development, employment, enterprise and
community.
Champions
The awards also acknowledge the vital leadership and development
roles of volunteers, individuals such as team leaders, group
advisors, as well as Prince’s Trust staff and partner organisations
who have supported the nominees. Each finalist will have two or
three individuals or organisations (who will be known as
‘Champions’) linked to them, who have played a key role in helping
the young person (people) achieve success through their Prince’s
Trust programme.
This gives us the opportunity to recognise more volunteers,
staff, partners and supporters than the old system.
For further details about this process will work, please contact

Karen’s experiences have moved and humbled me.
She has faced a difficult life, but she has not only overcome her
own issues - she is also committed to helping other young people
avoid a similar fate. I’m a great admirer of The Prince of Wales
and the work of his Trust to help disadvantaged young people. These
awards highlight the challenges young people face today, but also
show us just how much young people can achieve with the right
support.”
- Sir Michael Caine,
presenter of the UK Young Achiever of the Year Award, 2010/11
When my teacher told me that I was up for this
big award, I was shocked and amazed. I had no confidence before and
I was so shy that I couldn’t even talk to people who I didn’t know.
Now I’m a million miles away from that - I have friends, I have a
job, I have GCSEs and I feel like I’ve achieved something. My dad
is so proud of me - he’s been telling anyone who’ll listen about
the ceremony next month.”
- Andrew James,
winner of the UK Educational Achiever of the Year Award
