The Cheryl Cole Foundation

HRH The Prince of Wales and Cheryl Cole at the launch of the Cheryl Cole FoundationCheryl Cole has launched her own charitable foundation with The Prince’s Trust following a meeting with The Trust’s President, HRH The Prince of Wales.

The Cheryl Cole Foundation will provide vital funds for The Trust in the North East, helping disadvantaged young people from Cheryl’s own region.

Cheryl said:

Too many young people grow up thinking no-one cares and don’t believe they can make anything of themselves. They have so much potential – but can go off the rails without the right care and support. I want my Foundation to help them realise their potential and get their lives on track.

I have always been a great admirer of the work The Prince’s Trust does with disadvantaged young people across the UK. It’s the perfect charity for my Foundation to support.

HRH The Prince of Wales and Cheryl Cole at Clarence House.Martina Milburn, chief executive of The Prince’s Trust said: “Cheryl is extremely passionate about young people. We’re really excited about working on this new Foundation with her.

“The recent recession has made the work of The Prince’s Trust more relevant than ever, with the number of unemployed young people currently at a record high.

“Support for the Cheryl Cole Foundation and The Prince’s Trust will help disadvantaged and unemployed young people get their lives on track at this difficult time.”

Cheryl Cole met with HRH The Prince of Wales, Julian Barrell- Prince's Trust Director of Fundraising and Kristina Kyriacou, director of the Cheryl Cole FoundationKristina Kyriacou, director of the Cheryl Cole Foundation, added: “When Cheryl asked me to help set up her new Foundation, it became clear that The Prince’s Trust was the best partner.

“Not only does The Trust already do a huge amount in the North East – the charity is helping exactly the young people Cheryl wants her Foundation to support.”
