Prince's Trust Team 83 - Fun and Games at Grace
Road
Leicestershire County Cricket Club played host
to the latest group of young people on the Prince’s Trust Team
programme.
The aim of the day was for the Team to
learn about the cricket club and take part in some fun activities
which would boost their confidence, communication and team working
skills. Team member Shane Curiel said
We had a mix of learning the history of cricket
and playing the sport, which made for one fun and informative day.
The day started out with a tour of the grounds and museum area,
where we were aided by an extremely enthusiastic guide. Afterwards
we held an informal question and answer session with Paul Smith and
Paul Nixon over an array of sandwiches and snack foods. The day was
finished off with a brilliant game of indoor cricket that really
bowled us over!

The discussion with Prince’s Trust Ambassador Paul
Smith and Leicestershire wicket keeper Paul Nixon enabled the group
to think about their futures and how to achieve success and a
lively discussion took place!
The session opened their eyes to the prospect
of a positive future and they are clearly in a much better place
than 10 weeks ago. They responded fantastically to Nico and
me.

Trust Ambassador
