Winter Ball raises a fantastic £30k
Fundraising success at the East Midlands' first Winter
Ball, held at the Old Museum, Nottingham.
The East Midlands ball was attended by an impressive 125 guests,
all showing their support for disadvantaged young people in the
East Midlands. The £30,000 was raised from a silent, main and an
exciting Chinese style auction, as well as ticket sales and
sponsorship, showing the evening to be a great success.
Guests had the opportunity to bid for a VIP X Factor experience,
a Wimbledon package and an array of exciting and exclusive
prizes.
Long standing Prince’s Trust ambassador Moira
Stewart was the host for the evening, making sure all guests were
aware of the work of The Prince's Trust.
Carly Jayne Panter serenaded guests throughout the drinks
reception, and gave an encore during the meal, whilst Scott Perry
was on hand to entertain guests at the table with his magic tricks.
Both Carly and Scott were helped by The Trust, and now run their
own successful businesses. It was a real pleasure to have them at
the event.
Commenting on the ball, Deputy Director of Fundraising for The
Prince’s Trust Jamie Webb said:
I am delighted that we have raised over £30,000
to help disadvantaged young people in the East Midlands. This is
the first time we have hosted a Winter Ball and it was great to see
so many of our supporters in the region continue to be
exceptionally generous. This money will make such a difference to
the over 4,000 young people we help each year. Thank you so much to
everyone who supported the event so generously.
All the money raised will enable The Prince’s Trust to continue
giving support for disadvantaged young people across the East
Midlands.
