Here are some quotes form some of our xl club members
in Glossopdale:
Before I became a member of the xl club I
was going downhill in most of my mainstream lessons. When I first
got introduced to The Prince’s Trust I was delighted with the
prospects that were placed before me and I was proud when we
finished the courtyard garden. That is one of the main things that
xl club did for me. It filled me with selfworth and I would like to
thank all the people that made it all possible for me and for
getting my school life back on track. I
liked being in the xl club because I loved the breakfasts we had
every Friday. It was a good way to start the day. It also gave me
time to help me catch up with my Resistant Materials coursework. I
enjoyed some of the visits we had especially the Army. I have
recently joined the Army and I took my Prince’s Trust portfolio and
certificates with me to my interview. I really feel this helped me
a lot. When my lessons weren’t good I always knew xl would be a
good one. The xl club was great because it gave my Mum and Dad
positives about college when my other lessons were not so
good.
