Young people meet Wretch 32
Young people from The
Prince's Trust Fairbridge programme in Hackney and
Kennington met rapper Wretch 32 as part of their research into
youth unemployment and role models.
As part of the programme’s youth ambassador
scheme Wretch 32 met the four young people to discuss his
experiences of school, growing up and prospects for young people
today.
The interview forms part of their project into the effect
unemployment has on the well being of young people. Those on
the scheme have been mentored by employees of News International,
who have helped them with their research and interview skills as
well as offering work experience.
The programme is also supported by Reed Smith who assisted the
young people with their presentation and public speaking skills.
The four young people will give the final presentation to staff and
mentors later on today and marks the conclusion of the eight-week
programme.
