Go for Growth reaches its finale
Following an intense six months, the ERDF
supported Go for Growth competition reached its conclusion.
Back
in June 2011, 14 young people successfully applied for the
opportunity to be part of a programme to achieve exceptional
business growth, with the help of focused business targets and
bespoke support packages.
The Go for Growth competition
tracked their achievements against targets set out at the beginning
of the programme with the winner being awarded £3,000 towards the
development of their business.
The 14
highly focused businesses worked with their business mentors and a
team of specialist mentors to achieve targets over a six month
period. Progression towards their targets was measured through
monthly reports, with an independent panel of three having the
tricky task of short listing the participating businesses down to
three.
The three finalists were invited to present to the panel at the
finale event for their chance to win £3,000, a very tough decision
for the panel and an unenviable task. The finale event and
presentation took place at the London & South East Christmas
Fayre with Prince’s Trust staff, volunteers and supporters in
attendance to congratulate the winner.
The three finalists were:
The panel were delighted to announce the winner, Michael
Kasar of Ready Report, who gave an outstanding
presentation to the panel demonstrating exceptional business growth
during the competition period as well as clear and focused future
growth plans.
Congratulations to all the businesses who took part and
achieved fantastic results during the competition. The Go for
Growth competition was a fantastic success, we received great
feedback and most of all the businesses were inspired and totally
committed to achieving their growth.
