It's The Vote That Counts for Fairbridge in
Scotland
The Fairbridge programme in Scotland, now part
of The Prince’s Trust, is one of 12 charities in Scotland
which have been selected to bid for an award of £50,000.
The Vote That Counts campaign is
being offered by the People’s Postcode Trust and asks the public to
determine which charity is awarded the funds.
The People’s Postcode Trust is the grant
giving independent charitable trust of People’s Postcode Lottery,
distributing funds to small organisations, community groups and
registered charities.
The Fairbridge programme in Scotland works with disengaged
13-25 year-olds through an individually tailored personal
development programme, combining one to one support and group
activities for as long as each young person needs. Once ready,
staff assist young people in moving onto a positive next
step.
It is crucial that this project receives as many
votes as possible to secure these much needed funds, which
will help disadvantaged young people in Scotland. The £50,000
funding pot would give even more young people the chance to turn
their lives around. There are also five £2,000 runner-up prizes
available.
Please visit The Vote that
Counts and vote. To register, simply enter your details and the
select Fairbridge in Scotland as your chosen charity. By sharing
the charity through Twitter or Facebook, people are eligible for a
second chance to vote for Fairbridge in Scotland.
Voting closes on 4th December, with
the winner announced on 18th December. We thank you in
advance for your support.
