We’re celebrating the 20th Anniversary of The Prince’s Trust Team programme – a twelve week course of personal development training in the community.

Since 1990, more than 130,000 young people have taken part in 10,000 Teams. Team helps unemployed young people to boost their confidence and motivation and develop the skills they need to move into education, employment or training. More than three in four young people who take part in Team achieve one of these positive outcomes.

16 million hours

Make a Change Week celebrates the positive difference that Team members make to society. Every Team completes a community project, which benefits their local neighbourhood.

In total, Team participants have contributed more than 16 million hours volunteering in their communities. Teams across the UK are devising and delivering projects which will be giving their communities a boost.

  • Mia Kiuru shares her experiences whilst helping on the Team programme
  • I am an administrator for The Prince’s Trust in Manchester. A few months ago, I was one of ten Prince’s Trust employees given the opportunity to attend the Team Programme in Alston with Team 25. I will be writing my experiences regularly on this website.
  • Paul overcame a childhood in care, difficulties at school and a spell of time in trouble with the law to turn his life around. The Prince's Trust helped Paul through his problems and he is now helping other young people facing similar struggles.
