xl clubs provide a personal development programme aimed at young people aged 13-19 at risk of underachievement or exclusion from school.

Prince's Trust xl clubsA Prince's Trust xl club provides young people with the space and attention they need to learn skills and confidence as well as to form a sense of ownership over their work and own development.

It aims to re-engage young people in education by making learning accessible, valid, relevant and attractive.

Prince's Trust xl clubs are deliberately informal; the programme works as a club led by an existing member of staff in your school or centre, called an Adviser. It offers a flexible model of delivery with choices of units within five activity areas:

  • Personal, Interpersonal and Team Skills
  • Active Citizenship
  • Entrepreneurship and Enterprise
  • Preparation for Work
  • Enrichment Projects

 

How does a Prince's Trust xl club help young people?

  • It helps young people re-engage with learning, improving their chances of completing compulsary education
  • It increases confidence, self-esteem, social skills and behaviour
  • It helps improve attendance and motivation
  • It develops enterprise and employability skills

  • Prince's Trust xl clubs are for young people aged 13 -19 who are at risk of exclusion or educational underachievement
