Get Into Cars
Aimed at 16-25 year olds, the Get into
programme is a taster course designed to give young people the
skills and qualifications required to gain employment.
Offering work experience and industry
recognised certification combined with support and confidence
building, the Get into programme really helps prepare participants
for the world of work.
Get into Cars
The Get into Cars programme is delivered in
partnership with Glasgow City Council and the Arnold Clark Group
and gives young people a chance to gain first-hand experience of a
career in the motor trade.
Over the course of the six weeks, young people
are given industry leading training at Arnold Clark’s purpose-built
training centre GTG, where they have the chance to learn basic
vehicle maintenance techniques as well as improving softer skills
such as confidence, team work and assertiveness.
Participants also have the opportunity to put
learning into practice when they go on work placement at one of
Arnold Clark’s branches, where they work with in-house mechanics to
develop their skills base and build on their experiences.
Those who successfully complete the programme
will be offered the chance of a place on Arnold Clark’s Modern
Apprenticeship programme, working within the Arnold Clark Group as
they complete their qualification.
