Get Started is a short programme using
sport or the arts to help young people build skills and confidence
and move forward.
Getting inspired
To get participants inspired, programmes include facts
about the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, fun quizzes and
icebreakers.

Between now and September 2012, we are delivering
a range of programmes with themes including Sailing, Martial
Arts and Drama. Click on the links to learn more.

The Prince’s Trust worked with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) to help 16 young people build their confidence, learn drama skills and deliver a fantastic Olympic-themed theatre performance.

Kirsty Gower, 17 from Bridport, completed Get Started with Sailing in Weymouth in September 2011, achieving her Bronze Certificate.

James Cassidy, 16, completed Get Started with Sailing in Weymouth in September 2011, gaining his Bronze Certificate.

Our Get Started with Footbal programme in Sunderland helped nine young people learn coaching skills and achieve their Bronze certificate.

The Trust worked with Manchester United FC to help 15 local young people learn coaching skills and build their confidence.

Our Get Started with Multisports programme in Morecambe helped 19 young people learn coaching skills and achieve their Bronze certificate.

Young people tried a range of new sports in our Get Started with Multisports programme in Gloucestershire to achieve their Bronze certificate.

Eight young people joined the course, acheiving the Bronze scheme level.

12 young people took part in Get Started with Football with Wrexham FC, completing the Bronze level of the scheme.
