Our 2012 Games Young Ambassadors are young leaders involved in sports and arts in their communities.

Our 2012 Games Young Ambassadors

  • have previously completed a sport or arts personal development programme
  • are involved with sport or the arts in their communities
  • are keen to help other young people to make a positive change to their lives inspired by their own experiences and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games 

Their roles include

  • Speaking to groups of young people at sports or arts programmes and presentations
  • Supporting with outreach, recruitment and delivery for sports or arts programmes
  • Attending and speaking at local and national events about their role as a 2012 Games Young Ambassador

Meet our newest recruits.

We're working with 80 new 2012 Games Young Ambassadors between now and September 2012. Here are our newest recruits.

  • Drew’s ambition is to help disadvantaged young people in his community. He uses his Prince’s Trust supported business to offer disadvantaged young people, with an interest in animation, positive work experience opportunities and is a 2012 Games Young Ambassador
  • Ryan is currently working on his dream job as a fitness instructor. He believe that sport has the power to change the lives of young people by allow them to channel their negative energies in a positive manner. As a 2012 Games Young Ambassador, he hopes to advise and inspire other young people through the values of sports and the Olympics.
  • Rachel volunteers for grassroots organisations in her community. She is proud to be a 2012 Games Young Ambassador and be a role model to young people who may be going through difficult circumstances as she once did.
  • Arnold is proud to be a 2012 Games Young Ambassador as he believes in the power of sport and art to change lives. His passion for drawing has helped him overcome a difficult stage of his life.
  • Ahdil is excited to be a 2012 Games Young Ambassador, and hopes to promote the Olympics Games and the importance of volunteering among his community.
