Ernst & Young raise the bar with the Grab a Grand
challenge
Ernst & Young’s London and Edinburgh
offices raised a phenomenal £33,500 for The Trust during two days
of truly entrepreneurial fundraising.
Over 161 Ernst and Young employees raised the highest
amount ever from a Grab a Grand challenge. Tasked with raising
£1,000 in just one day, teams were ambitious and truly innovative
with their fundraising ideas. These included selling cufflinks
sourced from Asia, selling croissants and bacon sandwiches to weary
morning commuters, dressing up as the monopoly pieces and visiting
every monopoly square throughout London, riding from London to
Paris on static bikes donated by the local gym and even offering
people the chance to step inside a fire engine at One More
London.
Senior Partners supported the launch of the competition and were
on hand to present awards and prizes at the end of the day. They
were all really impressed with the energy and enterprising
abilities of the teams.
All I can say, is brilliant!

Young.
The dedication and enthusiasm of all the participants, Partners
and Community Champions involved throughout the challenge ensured
it was hugely successful, competitive and memorable experience.
The total amount raised far exceeded our
expectations and reflects the huge effort put in by the teams. If
anyone is considering planning Grab a Grand event, I would say go
for it! The event was a huge success and a lot of fun for all
involved. It has definitely helped participants to build and
strengthen relationships with their colleagues across the
office.
