Capgemini

In 2008, Capgemini became a Platinum Patron of The Trust, pledging to donate £1million in just three years.

The partnership is well on target, and hundreds of employees have been involved in a fantastic range of activities. Here are some of the highlights of their achievements:

Working with young people

Capgemini employees have donated their time and increased their skills by volunteering with Team, xl Clubs and acting as business mentors.

Capgemini Wild UK

For the third year running Capgemini has generously sponsored this three-day Challenge, and we have more participants than ever before. A special mention to David Boulter, Vice President at Capgemini, who has competed every year!

Pro bono support

Capgemini is committed to helping save The Trust money by using their employees’ extensive skills, working on projects as diverse as an online Business Finder to helping with our Environmental Policy.

Million Makers

Capgemini have put forward three exceptional teams to compete this year, from Inverness, Woking and their bright young graduates.

International challenges

Yet again an intrepid team is taking on the challenge of a lifetime overseas to support the work of The Trust.

The Black and White Ball

The first ever ‘Green Carpet’ event of its kind in the UK, this now-annual gala evening in Scotland has been a fantastic success, and has been shortlisted for ‘Best Charity Event’ and ‘Best Green Event’ of the year in Scotland.

We are incredibly grateful for the depth and breadth of Capgemini’s support. In the words of The Trust’s Chief Executive:

Capgemini’s financial investment is crucial to our work, however it is the extra mile the company goes which has made them such an outstanding partner to work with.

One of the areas of support that we value most highly is the business advice that they give us. There could not be a more important time for us to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of The Prince’s Trust. The particular skills and energy that Capgemini employees bring may feel like a normal day’s work, but they are transforming the futures of disadvantaged young people up and down the country.

On behalf of The Prince's Trust I wanted to say how proud I am of what we are achieving together – it is a testament to Capgemini’s genuine commitment to helping improve the lives of the UK’s young and an example of a true partnership.

Outstanding fundraising in the West Midlands

Adrian Thacker from the Prince's Trust is presented the bumper cheque by Simon Pearson and fellow supporters of the Trust.Extraordinary efforts by members of the Capgemini/Apsire team, including a gruelling north to south coast 'Wild' trek in Devon, a Rob Roy he-man challenge in Scotland, and the small matter of selling £7,000 worth of samosas, led the team to raise a grand total of £29,000 for the West Midlands region.
