Strathmore
Strathmore and The Prince’s Trust have
launched an exciting new partnership, reaching out to both
customers and staff while helping young people in communities
across the UK.
50 Million Bottles!
This winter, bottles of Strathmore Spring Water will be
springing up in shops across the UK carrying the Trust's logo to
help raise awareness of the partnership and our work. Strathmore
estimates that 50 million bottles will be produced each year with
The Prince's Trust message on them where consumers will be directed
to the donation page of The Trust website.
The bottles will be sold right across the wholesale, retail and
on-trade market in outlets like supermarkets, newsagents, corner
shops, restaurants, and branches of Starbucks as well as being
served at business meetings throughout the UK.
In addition, Strathmore are generously providing The Trust
with gift-in-kind of £50,000 (RRP) of Strathmore Spring Water for
fundraising over the year, keeping our supporters refreshed,
hydrated and no doubt even more eager to support The Trust.
Staff Fundraising
Strathmore staff are also enthusiastically raising funds to help
change young lives, having set themselves a challenging target of
£10,000 this year. Staff have already taken part in dress down days
and sponsored bike rides and will also have the opportunity to
raise funds by taking part in the various road races that the
Strathmore brand sponsors, including the Edinburgh Marathon, Great
Scottish Run in Glasgow and the Cumbernauld 10k. We wish everyone
the best of luck!
Community Investment
Backing up the partnership, is a significant financial
contribution to The Trust.
They are supporting two core Prince’s Trust programmes; a Team
community project in Glasgow and xl clubs in Glagow, Forfar/Angus,
Bolton and Mansfield. Strathmore staff will be giving their time
and working directly with the young people on the projects.
Message from the Chief Executive
Chief Executive Roger White, said:
“At Strathmore we have always tried to make a positive
difference in the communities in which our operations are based,
particularly in Scotland, by supporting many local good causes,
fundraising activities and charity organisations over the years. We
fully intend to continue this important support.
“Our partnership with The Prince’s Trust is about us helping and
supporting some of our less fortunate young people who may be
struggling in life. As a national youth charity, The Trust will
enable us to do this in a more coordinated way so that we can fully
engage and encourage all of our staff across the UK to get involved
in the partnership. We are looking forward to developing a long
term relationship with the Trust and supporting the various
projects that we will be involved with”.
