Management qualification for Team leadership
Stuart Saunders has obtained a coveted management
qualification, thanks to his work as Team leader on The Prince's
Trust Team programme delivered by Hampshire Fire & Rescue
Service.
Stuart, who works for the ACPO Criminal Records Office,
said:
“To say this was the most challenging role I had ever
undertaken, is an understatement - but it has been exceptionally
rewarding. The secondment allowed me to develop my leadership and
management skills to the max.”
He started his secondment as leader of the Southampton Team 25
in January 2010. It has helped him achieve the Institute of
Leadership & Management level 3 award in first line
management.
Stuart said: “I now have a recognised management qualification
on my CV."
The educational charity CVQO awarded the qualification, which
Stuart achieved by carrying out the Team leader role, and passing
other leadership tests and assessments.
His managers have recognised his achievement and have given him
a new position with greater responsibility, Stuart said.
“It's a great reward for the effort in running a Team and a
great result for both my employer and me.”
